Have A Magical, Merry Christmas Wedding

Have A Magical, Merry Christmas Wedding

Deciding to do your wedding during the Yuletide season is a gamble, but that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve a perfectly magical Christmas wedding. Done right, you can ensure that your wedding is as wonderful as a Christmas morn.

Here are some tips to make sure you’re on the right track.

1. Send out your invitations early.

It’s Christmas. Expect people will have booked schedules. Aside from securing your service providers for your reception, you should also send out your invitations and save-the-dates as early as you can so your guests have ample time to take a work leave, plan their schedules, and save up. This will also avoid last-minute no-shows.

2. Feel free to use Christmas decors and treats as wedding favors.

If you prefer to give out something people can use yearly, you can opt to give jingle bells and tree ornaments that they can use to reminisce your wedding day. Should you decide to go the treats route, you can choose to give out candy cane bundles and chocolate coal gift bags as your wedding souvenirs.

3. Use Christmas-themed decors!

Tinsels would look great as your altar and aisle liners. Pick a color that would complement your motif best, if you’re not already using a Christmas shade. You can also use Christmas lights to decorate your venue, especially if it’s a night event. Fairy lights would look great as decorations for the dinner table. If you’re going for a rustic look, you can also use candles in candelabras.

4. Don’t be afraid to incorporate Christmas flavors.

Upgrade your reception food and drinks by serving Christmas food. Instead of a regular cake, why not serve a gingerbread tower wedding cake? If that’s too drastic, try serving Christmas pies. There’s a lot to choose from as well: mince pie, pumpkin pie, or cranberry pie. Serve them with a mug of hot cocoa or eggnog.

5. Instead of a DJ or a band, hire a choir.

Imagine the choir singing a heavenly song as you walk through the aisle. Plus, they can do a bit of caroling for the reception.

Having a Christmas wedding doesn’t have to look like Christmas party. Just picking some jolly bits and pieces to incorporate into your wedding is fine.
